Role Overview:
Join Nayya's flagship product as a QA Engineer, where you will play a pivotal role in enhancing system health and resilience. You will be responsible for identifying system weaknesses, developing comprehensive test plans, and collaborating on regression testing efforts for Nayya products. This role demands a holistic approach to QA, focusing not only on our current regression testing processes, but also on expanding our testing processes and infrastructure across multiple projects.
The products we build at Nayya span multiple product spaces and markets and employ many technologies, from user interfaces to backend services to data science pipelines and the infrastructure that runs them. We have high standards for everything we do, and you will be a huge part of maintaining these standards across the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement detailed test plans and test cases, prioritizing functional and regression testing to uphold Nayya's quality benchmarks
- Collaborate closely with product managers, software engineers, and designers to deeply understand product requirements and identify defects
- Utilize and enhance test automation frameworks and scripts, leveraging tools like Playwright for efficient testing processes
- Conduct manual testing rigorously, identifying defects and validating user experiences across multiple platforms
- Manage defect documentation and tracking using tools such as Jira and GitHub
- Participate actively in agile development processes, contributing to continuous improvement in QA practices and team collaboration
- Stay informed on the latest trends and tools in QA, advocating for the adoption of innovative testing methodologies to enhance product quality
What You'll Bring:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in software testing, demonstrating expertise in test plan development, functional, and regression testing
- Proficiency with test automation tools and scripting languages, particularly Playwright, and a strong capability for detailed manual testing
- Strong programming skills in languages like Javascript, Python, Java, Ruby, etc.
- Solid experience in agile software development environments
- Familiarity with issue tracking and management tools like Jira and GitHub
- Previous exposure to API testing and automation, as well as a good understanding of relational databases and SQL
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- A background or interest in health tech or related sectors is advantageous but not required
The salary range for New York based candidates for this role is $80,000 - $100,000. We use a location factor to adjust this range for candidates that are located outside of geographic region of our New York office. Placement within the salary band is determined based on experience.
