Title: Assistant Director – QA Engineer

Location: 7 World Trade Center, 250 Greenwich Street, New York, NY 10007 (Principal place of business – telecommuting permitted)

Duties: Perform various software testing duties to ensure software quality standards are met. Analyze requirements and perform appropriate quality assurance methods to ensure quality. Create, apply, and maintain test documentation such as test plans, test cases and test scripts. Apply Quality Assurance expertise to devise best testing approach using either manual and analytical or technical and automated testing techniques. Write and revise test scripts or test documentation for a variety of financial applications, working with other testers, business analysts, product managers and developers to ensure adequate coverage for each software release. Plan testing approach, execute tests, and report results according to Moody’s MIT standards. Make recommendations and strive for constant improvements to ensure most effective testing approach. Telecommuting Permitted (100% telecommuting position. Will consider applicants resident in the continental U.S.).

Requirements: Requires a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field plus two (2) years of experience as a QA Engineer, Test Engineer, or in a related position performing manual or automated test engineering. Must have experience with following: performing requirements analysis, test planning, strategy and execution, defect tracking and release support; applying knowledge of financial risk analytics to develop edge and negative test scenarios; utilizing agile processes, including SCRUM, and Continuous Build and Integration; working with QA methodologies, publishing test reports, and maintaining QA metrics; using Jenkins for deployment; and working with web-based technology architecture and data structures. Telecommuting Permitted (100% telecommuting position. Will consider applicants resident in the continental U.S.).

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $121,285 to $184,950, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
