Python Developer
**This position is on-site, not remote/hybrid**
Description of Position: As a Python Developer, you will play an important role in the development and maintenance of our applications. Collaboration with multiple departments is a must to ensure that we are creating efficient and scalable solutions.
Duties and Responsibilities: Primary responsibilities of the position include collaborating with cross-functional teams to analyze, design and implement new features for our software. Develop and maintain robust, scalable, and high-performance Python code for backend systems.
Other duties may include:
- Work closely with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements using server-side logic.
- Conduct thorough testing, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs, performance bottlenecks, and other technical issues in a timely manner.
- Assist with automation/QA. Primarily using Selenium.
- Implement and maintain best security practices to safeguard sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with managers to understand requirements needed and translate them into technical specifications.
- Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to propose innovative solutions for ongoing and future projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- FinTech or banking knowledge/experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of scripting and web scraping.
- Beautiful Soup experience, is a plus.
- Strong understanding of Python web frameworks.
- Experience with database systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
