We are currently seeking a Purchasing & Inventory Control Manager to join our team. The Purchasing & Inventory Control Manager is responsible for the coordination of purchasing, inventory and reporting for the company. This person will ensure that there are the controls in place for best purchasing and inventory practices to drive bottom line results. By carefully maintaining the ServiceTitan Pricebook to ensure that all items are being purchased from primary vendors to gain valuable cost savings. The Inventory Quality Control Manager will drive results through our warehouse teams to ensure inventory, job costing and price book accuracy on a daily and monthly basis.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in our Service Titan Price Book module.
- Coordinate with Warehouse Managers in each center on Purchasing & warehouse priorities, processes, and controls.
- Train and provide oversight and audit control over warehouse staff in each center to ensure that inventory transactions are completed accurately and timely and that perpetual inventory data for all truck and stock inventory items for Replenishment are accurate and maintained in the Service Titan to avoid significant book-to-physical adjustments.
- Work with GM, Warehouse Manager and Accounting to create reports and analyses around job cost, purchase price variance, inventory valuation, or any other related areas as needed.
- Oversee day-to-day purchases by center personal to ensure compliance with agreed terms, part specifications and pricing and to make sure that inventory returns, and warranty transactions are accurate and timely.
- Establish and Maintain KPI’s for the warehouse locations; analyzes data for informed operational decision making.
- Conducts Monthly Warehouse Physical Counts and Quarterly Truck Physical Counts.
- Other Duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of combined education/experience in warehouse operations management.
- Expert knowledge and practical experience supporting multiple sites.
- Experience developing, analyzing, and presenting metrics and data-based decisions.
- Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work as part of a team and independently.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, and the ability to create and analyze charts, spreadsheets, and presentations.
- An in-depth understanding of safety and labor laws.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Regularly required to stand, sit, walk, talk, hear, drive, and use hands and fingers.
- Speaking and hearing ability; heavy communication through talking and listening to employees and clients directly as well as through telephone conversations to resolving issues.
- Occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- May lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to travel between Brea, Colton and Murrieta locations.
