General Summary:
The ITF AvionicsElectrical Technician assembles, installs, maintains, and repairs electronic aircraft, test, and simulation systems in the Integration Test Facility labs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Review drawings and fabricate and install avionics harnesses and components in lab, using hand tools and test equipment.
2. Inspects components of avionics equipment for defects, such as loose connections and frayed wire, and for accuracy of assembly and installation.
3. Tests avionics equipment under simulated or actual operating conditions to determine performance and airworthiness, using test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, digital meters and counters, and circuit analyzers.
4. Troubleshoots, replaces, or repairs defective lab components based on analysis of test results, following blue prints, schematics, handbooks, and other technical documents.
5. Responsible for lab instrumentation and modification.
6. Maintains record of repairs.
