Metz Culinary Management is growing and seeking a Purchasing Assistance.
Job description:
- Operate and maintain prime distributor webbased ecommerce ordering platform for company
- Sends monthly reporting to field on updated products and contracts
- Interact daily with suppliers, company managers and leadership team
- Approve and process account ordering of nonapproved products and special orders
- Run purchasing and business analytics reports
- Conduct price / cost comparisons to enhance purchasing compliance for company
- Identify savings opportunities on noncontracted products
- Maintenance of company / supplier directory
- Ordering products and equipment
- Train new managers / chefs on company ordering platform procedures and processes
- Performs related job duties as required
- Conducts weekly pricing audits on vendors and compares to contracted pricing
Job requirements/ skills:
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Associate degree or higher preferred
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point), Gmail
