Primary Responsibilities:
- Quote new items for new products
- Placing orders
- Locate suppliers for new items
- Track backorders for late product
- Work with vendors to improve delivery
- Match packing slips with invoices
- Assemble usage data to determine orders
- Assist engineering with project needs
- Monitor pricing for current market
- Serve as backup when manager is out of office
- Other duties as assigned
- 2+ years relevant experience
- Strong negotiating skills
- Strong computer skills with proficency in MS Office software
- Excellent organizational skills
- Demonstrated communication skills with ability to communicate professionally with people at all levels of the organization
- Solid decision making skills
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations
