Job Duties
- Plan and manage the buying of raw materials and packaging.
- Ensure that all material needs are met for production.
- Work with production and planning in maintaining accurate records of internal transfers between plants and warehouses.
- Assist in developing strategies, plans and actions for purchasing raw and packaging materials.
- Establish and maintain inventory levels of raw material items for production needs.
- Measure and analyze cost reduction or increase of materials.
- Continuously strive to lower costs.
- Maintain all open purchase orders and make parties aware of any issues that arise.
- Perform Routine Ordering Raw Materials and Packaging Items.
- Timely respond to emails and phone calls.
- Processing daily receipts.
- Maintain Excel Spreadsheets.
- Bachelor's degree preferably in Business Management or Supply Chain or related experience.
- Knowledge of basic Purchasing, Planning and Inventory Control.
- 3 to 5 years' Experience in Purchasing, Inventory, and Planning.
- Excellent organizational skills, filing, and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office especially Excel with aptitude to learn new systems.
- Experience with ERP systems, Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O preferred.
- Develops relationships with internal and external customers to identify emerging needs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, well organized and the ability to prioritize tasks and make appropriate decisions.
- Willing to work in a fast paced, ever changing work environment.
