As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dedicated and skilled Purchasing Agent to join our team.

Position Overview: We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Agent to oversee our procurement processes and ensure the timely acquisition of materials and supplies necessary for our operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of supply chain management, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their products and services.

2. Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, negotiating favorable terms and pricing agreements.

3. Coordinate with internal stakeholders to determine procurement needs and specifications.

4. Generate purchase orders and ensure accuracy in quantities, specifications, and delivery dates.

5. Monitor inventory levels and anticipate demand to prevent shortages or overstocking.

6. Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, delivery, and cost-effectiveness.

7. Resolve any issues or discrepancies with orders, invoices, or deliveries in a timely manner.

8. Collaborate with the production team to optimize inventory management and streamline procurement processes.

9. Stay informed about market trends, industry developments, and regulatory requirements related to materials and supplies.

10. Continuously seek opportunities to improve procurement practices and reduce costs without compromising quality or reliability.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

2. Proven experience as a Purchasing Agent or in a similar procurement role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

3. Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence suppliers.

4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.

5. Proficiency in using Plex and Microsoft Office Suite.

6. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

7. Knowledge of metal stamping processes and materials is a plus.

8. Certification in supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CSCP) is advantageous but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $53,000.00 per year
