About Pulso
Pulso is a Latino-led social enterprise dedicated to raising up and keeping the pulse on nuestra gente. We build deep digital relationships with Latino folks through their phones in order to transform civic engagement and build political power.
Pulso attracts and engages Latinos through our innovative Latinx history and news service, via Facebook Messenger, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Twitter and The Pulso Podcast. With this daily relationship and by telling the stories that have shaped our community, Pulso connects more than 1 million U.S.-based Latinos/as/x with our history and encourages subscribers to take action on critical issues, register to vote, and to cast their votes on Election Day.

Pulso is a project of Accelerate Change (AC), a nonprofit media lab dedicated to catalyzing new scalable and sustainable digital media models for citizen engagement. Responsibilities
Here’s what you can expect to do in this role:
Research, write and edit scripts for Instagram Reels, TikTok and Youtube (can range from 30 seconds - 3 minutes) based on cited sources.- Iterate stories for other formats as needed (for example, carousels or newsletter stories).
- Film a variety of videos (including on-screen talking head, greenscreen, and on the street), including being the on-camera talent if required.
- Work with the Video Producer & Content Manager to produce content across TikTok, Reels and Youtube, including editing video content.
- Brainstorm creative and engaging video content ideas alongside our team and partners.
- Participate in pre-recorded and/or live collaborations with other Content Creators for Pulso.
- Plan and/or assist our team for customer discovery across video platforms.
- Support with identifying new ways to reach and engage our audience with videos.
- Assist with other video projects, as needed.
Compensation
This is a 3-month, part-time freelance opportunity with the potential to renew. The compensation range is $40-$70 per hour, depending on experience. The number of hours per week will vary, but we estimate roughly 20 hours per week.
