To qualify at the GS-13 grade, you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to at least the GS-12 level in federal service having demonstrated experience. Specialized experience for this position is defined as:
- Experience in NERC/WECC preparation and execution in Reliability Compliance and mitigation plans. coordinating and implementing NERC/WECC Reliability Compliance Program, addressing impacts on generation equipment, conducting business risk assessments, and ensuring alignment with agency mission, goals, and federal policy and regulations.
- Experience recommending, establishing, and managing policies directly associated with NERC/WECC standards and provide auditing expertise.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
