The salary range for the Assistant Director of Public Works - Utilities and Environmental Services is $169,020 - $253,536 DOQE and is supplemented by an attractive benefits package. Closes: Sunday, April 7, 2024.
The City of Pleasanton (pop. 79,871), located 40 miles southeast of San Francisco, is a vibrant community with an exceptional quality of life marked by a low crime rate, award-winning schools, and a diversified economic base. The Public Works Department is responsible for the operations and maintenance of the City's infrastructure. The Utilities and Environmental Services Division, supported by 32 FTE, is responsible for planning, operation and maintenance of the City's water facilities, sewer collection and storm drain systems.
The City seeks a knowledgeable and experienced water industry professional with outstanding supervisory and interpersonal skills. This strategic leader will be able to easily move from long range planning to effectively overseeing daily operations. Seven years of progressively responsible water and/or wastewater experience and a Bachelor's degree in engineering, public or business administration, or a related field are expected.
