Verification of Education/Training/Certification/Licensure:
If it is a requirement that a college degree/master's degree/doctorate/license/registration is necessary to hold any position with ADE, the employee must submit proof of such to the Human Resources Office within 30 days of the hire date. Duties:
The Monitoring Program Effectiveness (MPE) Program Advisor is a federally funded position that provides leadership, support, and service to school districts across Arkansas with the implementation of Part B of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and the state special education laws and rules. This position is necessary to ensure that districts are monitored and compliant with IDEA, as required by the Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP). Additionally, PROGRAM ADVISORs conduct state complaint investigations to determine the implementation of Part B of IDEA. This PROGRAM ADVISOR is responsible for monitoring special education programs in local school districts, charter schools, and co-ops which encompass between 35 and 53 Local Education Agencies (LEAs) annually. In addition to monitoring, the PROGRAM ADVISOR provides technical assistance for program improvement for the LEAs they support, impacting the ability to improve outcomes for students with disabilities.

Salary Range: $50,222.00 - $72,822.00
The formal education equivalent of a bachelor's degree in public administration, educational administration, education, or related field; plus five years of experience in education, PUBLIC SCHOOL administration, or related field. Additional requirements determined by the agency for recruiting purposes require review and approval by the Office of Personnel Management. OTHER JOB RELATED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE MAY BE SUBSTITUTED FOR ALL OR PART OF THESE BASIC REQUIREMENTS, EXCEPT FOR CERTIFICATION OR LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS, UPON APPROVAL OF THE QUALIFICATIONS REVIEW COMMITTEE.
