POSITION TITLE: Public Relations Coordinator
REPORTS TO:Public Relations Manager
LOCATION: New York, NY (Hybrid, 3-4 days in office)
JOB TYPE: Full-Time
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Public Relations Coordinator will report to the PR Manager and will develop and maintain relationships with media, assist with media requests, create press clippings and weekly reports outlining departments activity for the week.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the PR Manager to execute alice + olivia’s US and Global PR strategy including promoting new season collections, product launches, researching market trends and identifying coverage opportunities and pitching stories to press.
- In charge of all sample management including auditing and fulfillment of requests and returns, ensuring samples are logged into GPS and logged out properly, monitoring the condition of the samples when leaving and returning to the showroom.
- Assist with executing Fall-Winter and Spring-Summer runway shows, Pre-Fall and Resort
presentations and press appointments. - Assisting in planning and executing press events
- Maintain and update press lists.
- In charge of sample closet organization.
- In charge of office supplies.
- In charge of creating and disseminating company-wide alerts.
- Create and maintain an archive of all look books per season.
- In charge of gift binder inventory and history.
- In charge of putting all important dates and events on time and action calendar.
- Monitor industry news.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with editors and stylists.
- In charge of putting together press clippings and support PR Manager with weekly
reports. - Assist with seasonal editor and celebrity gifting.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- 1-2 years of experience in PR, preferably in the fashion industry
- Degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Communications, Liberal Arts or equivalent industry
experience - Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task to succeed in a fast-growing, team-oriented environment.
- A self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit and superb organization and planning skills
- A strategic thinker with a result-focused approach
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task
- Strong interest in media and current trends
- Excellent social perceptiveness, interpersonal skills and an ability to engage with a wide
range of influencers and to nurture meaningful dialogue on diverse topics.
BENEFITS:
· $50,000 - $60,000 base salary (This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this NYC - based position. The base salary will depend on numerous factors such as: experience and qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to other AO employees.)
