The Town of Ashland (12.9 sq. mi., pop. 18,832), is seeking qualified, experienced, and energetic applicants for the position of Public Health Nurse. The Public Health Nurse performs a variety of routine and complex professional work in providing services to ensure the Public Health of the community pursuant to rules and regulations related to Public Health. This role provides health education and information to prevent epidemics and the spread of communicable and contraction of reportable diseases. Additionally, the Public Health Nurse provides surveillance and reporting under the direction of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and Centers for Disease Control. The Nurse will work with the Board of Health and Director of Public Health in meeting state mandated health reporting and case management requirements.
The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field; Master’s Degree preferred and at least two (2) years’ experience in Public Health nursing. Required skills include:

This is a part-time position (up to 19 hours per week) with an anticipated start date of May 1, 2024. The position is located in Ashland, MA. Some evening/occasional weekend hours may be required.
