  • Public Finance Issuer clients include state & local government, transportation, energy, housing, higher education, non-profit healthcare and corporate-backed sectors

Position Description:

The municipal Digital Platform team focuses on data analytics, algo strategy and design, trading platform infrastructure, e-trading and direct connectivity with clients. The team works closely with the municipal trading, quantitative research, technology, sales and syndicate teams to develop and enhance data-oriented solutions used department-wide to best serve our clients. You will join this team which is expanding its ability to harness the value of proprietary data, increase algo-based trading for municipal bonds and streamline workflows through both model development and system implementation.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work with Digital Platform team and across department to set and deliver our strategy for data analytics, trading platform enhancements and automation of workflows
  • Partner with quantitative research and trading teams to develop, back test and deliver algo based trading strategies
  • Define, provide specification and prioritize book of work with technology to deliver projects on time and with successful product releases
  • Manage, enhance and grow e-trading connections with clients

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
  • Experience in fixed income products and analysis is required; experience in municipal bonds is helpful
  • Strong communicator with the ability to speak to technical detail as well as with wide range of stakeholders across the business
  • Team player with a positive attitude, strong work ethic and ability to multi-task
  • Capability to understand technical aspects of a trading system
  • Ability to initiate a project to completion with the flexibility to adjust to ensure impactful solutions
  • Some combination of experience with Bloomberg, Python, VBA, R, SQL, Excel and Tableau
  • Ability to process new information quickly and effectively

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:
  • Prior experience in municipal bonds
