Public Area Attendant (Part-Time)

Creative Dining Services is seeking a part time Public Area Attendant for the Haworth Hotel on the campus of Hope College, in Holland, Michigan. The Haworth Hotel is a 48 room boutique hotel at the heart of Holland’s historic downtown district and Hope College’s lively campus, welcoming people worldwide for conferences, vacation stays, meetings and more.

Our Public Area Attendant will help in multiple areas of the Hotel. The main duty of this position is cleaning and maintaining hotel common areas in a timely and organized manner according to standards and procedures. This person will also be able to help address our guest requests and problems in a welcoming, and friendly fashion.

Core Responsibilities:

• Cleaning rooms, hallways, restrooms, and meeting spaces.
• Removing trash from Public Areas.
• Reporting maintenance issues to supervisors immediately.
• Responsible for the upkeep of all equipment used i.e. vacuum cleaners, carts, cleaning tools, etc.
• Performing other daily cleaning tasks throughout the hotel.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Previous experience in a housekeeping or cleaning position.

Ability to perform the physical duties required of the job

• Must be able to lift 25lb.
