FEMA Region Three recruiting for three separate Public Affairs Specialist roles to support ongoing mission. The unique working titles for the Public Affairs Specialist roles are the following:

  1. Stakeholder Relations - Private Sector
  2. Graphics Specialist
  3. Writer/Editor

To qualify for thisPublic Affairs Specialist position at the IC-12 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the IC-11 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the Federal or Private Sector and must demonstrate all of the following:

  1. Creating, writing, or editing communication products including newsletters, presentations, factsheets or graphics;
  2. Planning or developing of communication plans, strategies and/or projects including written or visual tools; and
  3. Supporting the execution of events that build partnerships with internal or external stakeholders.

To qualify for thisPublic Affairs Specialist position at the IC-13 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the IC-12 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the Federal or Private Sector and must demonstrate all of the following:

  1. Leading the planning and developing communication plans, strategies and/or projects including writing or visual tools;
  2. Analyzing and interpreting important agency policies and programs into actionable communications for stakeholders and/or visual and writing products; and
  3. Executing of events that build partnerships with internal or external stakeholders.
