Grants Management Specialist

This position is located within the DHS, FEMA, Region 3, Mitigation Division, Risk Analysis Branch.
The ideal candidate for this position will have experience leading program oversight and expert technical assistance in the program delivery and administration of grant programs, Leading pre-award coordination, Leading effort to conduct post-award monitoring, Overseeing programmatic closeout, and Other related aspects of the Grants Lifecycle.

The qualification requirements listed below must be met by the closing date of this announcement.

GS-12:
To qualify for this position at the GS-12 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the Federal or Private Sector and must demonstrate all of the following:

• Monitoring Grants Management operations to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies, and,
• Providing technical advice to a variety of stakeholders regarding Grants Management operations; and,
• Drafting and implementing grant management related policies, standards, regulations, practices, or procedures.

GS-13:
To qualify for this position at the GS-13 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the Federal or Private Sector and must demonstrate all of the following:

• Conducting analysis and risk assessments of grant recipients and preparing fiscal year monitoring schedules in compliance with policies and guidance;
• Implementing and interpreting grant management policies, standards, regulations, practices, and procedures; and
• Managing and coordinating a full range of complex grants and cooperative agreements.
