Position is Remote Eligible and has been determined that the duties of the position can be performed effectively from a remote worksite, however, final determination of the Duty Station/Location will be made by Management.
GS-12: One (1) year of specialized experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of this position. This experience is related to the work of the position and equivalent to at least the GS-11 level in the Federal service as described in the vacancy announcement. Examples include: Participating in PUBLIC AFFAIRS campaigns, including writing and editing news releases, fact sheets, talking points, social media and digital outreach, and other communication products; responding to media inquiries, facilitating media interviews, and interacting with journalists; developing content for social media platforms; ensuring communication products and content comply with established protocols; utilizing multi-faceted communication methods to develop products following established policies and regulations.
GS-13: One (1) year of specialized experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of this position. This experience is related to the work of the position and equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the Federal service as described in the vacancy announcement. Examples include: Leading and directing PUBLIC AFFAIRS campaigns using advanced communication methods including social media and digital outreach; developing and applying new approaches to difficult, complex and sensitive PUBLIC AFFAIRS problems; developing and evaluating information programs to enhance understanding amid opposition or indifference to Agency programs and activities; analyzing public reactions and diverse points-of-view to facilitate development of agency responses and talking points; maintaining awareness of Agency's position and objectives; advising senior agency officials on PUBLIC AFFAIRS issues; communicating official agency positions as a spokesperson to various media sources; and planning, executing and evaluating communication with target audiences, partners and other.
EDUCATION: Education is not a qualification requirement at this grade level.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform successfully the duties of the position and is typically in or related to the position to be filled.
