Description:
Provides direct psychological services to the University students/clients associated with FIU Embrace Center for Advancing Inclusive Communities through conducting psychological evaluations, clinical consultations and crisis assessments (if needed). Conducts clinical assessments. Provides walk-in assessments, and crisis intervention for students under FIU Embrace Center for Advancing Inclusive Communities. Provides consultations to campus community constituents as approved by the FIU Embrace Center.
- Provides direct psychological services to University students/clients associated with FIU Embrace Center for Advancing Inclusive Communities, including conducting psychological and psycho-educational evaluations, crisis assessments, clinical consultations and group counseling. Conducts clinical assessments and formulates diagnoses.
- Provides clinical supervision and/or training of interns in our American Psychological Association (APA)- Accredited Pre-Doctoral Psychology internship or Pre-masters Internship programs.
- Develops and presents educational programs, seminars, and workshops to students, other FIU Community members, and external constituents. Participates in committees, especially those concerning the well-being of students and the FIU Community.
- Provides clinical supervision and training of doctoral students, interns, and post-doctoral fellows.
- Develops and presents educational programs, seminars, and workshops to students and the community.
- Collaborates with internal and external partners.
- Supervises clinical fellows and other staff.
- Facilitates meetings with parents.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Doctorate from an APA Accredited Clinical or Counseling Psychology program with an APA accredited internship.
Licensed Psychologist with six (6) years of experience. Competent to supervise walk-in team.
May be responsible for the development/coordination of an assigned area(s)/activity.
Florida DOH Qualified Supervisor Certification.
DEPARTMENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Licensed Psychologist in the State of Florida.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience conducting psychological evaluation.
- Experience with autism assessment by use of ADOS.
- Experience working with students and parents.
