OVERVIEW
In addition to general administrative duties, the Proposal Proofreader (Administrative Support Specialist/Proofreader) spends a significant amount of time proofreading specialized reports, proposals, and other documentation. The individual performs quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) by ensuring correct grammar, usage, spelling, and punctuation, as well as formatting and consistency for all project-related client deliverables and proposals. The position requires an individual with strong proofreading skills and attention to detail.
The Proposal Proofreader is a professional with strong leadership, and exceptional administrative, organizational, and communication skills. This individual must be flexible and capable of balancing multiple efforts with tight deadlines. LOCATION
  • This is a hybrid or 100% remote position, which may vary based on the proximity to the corporate or regional office.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide administrative support to team leaders and project managers in our fast-paced environment and growing organization
  • Edit and read proposals, reports, PowerPoint presentations, and other correspondence content for spelling and grammatical accuracy, and format according to defined standards and requirements
  • Produce timely, accurate, and high-quality work in the most efficient and productive manner to support business operations which includes the final production, assembly, and routing of documents to internal leads or for external delivery
  • Maintain exceptional quality control and attention to detail in the face of deadlines
  • Support content review and file maintenance of proposal templates and supporting content
  • Participate in conference calls and transcribe meeting minutes as requested
  • Coordinate and administer webinars, videoconferencing, and online meetings
  • Continually assess and revise how assignments are accomplished to improve productivity and quality, meet and/or exceed standards and the needs of internal and external clients
  • Work independently and efficiently with minimal direction and supervision
  • Answer and route phone calls
  • Perform other duties as requested
BASIC REQUIREMENTS, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS
  • Associate's Degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school is preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of administrative office support experience with a demonstrated history of working in a professional corporate/business environment
  • Computer skills required: Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to proofread large and complex documents and reports, and to work with authors to provide QA/QC prior to delivery and submittal
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and realign priorities as needed
  • A positive attitude with a passion for attention to detail
