About this role
The Proposal Manager/Writer is responsible for crafting exceptional responses that meet specific guidelines, timelines, and strategic objectives outlined by potential clients. You will lead developing tailored responses for RFPs, RFIs, and prospect inquiries, with a particular focus on Pharmacy and Weight Health management. This is a highly collaborative role, leveraging subject matter expertise to ensure that responses are not only accurate but also resonate with a cohesive voice across all submissions.
An ideal candidate for the Proposal Manager/Writer role demonstrates meticulous attention to detail, excels in organizing and managing complex tasks, and makes informed decisions efficiently. Experience in managing cloud-based proposal automation software is crucial, as is the ability to engage effectively with team members through excellent interpersonal communication skills.
What you'll do
- Lead the development, writing, and submission of proposals and RFP/RFI responses, ensuring alignment with client requirements and deadlines.
- Work closely with SMEs from sales, marketing, product development, and legal teams to compile and articulate the necessary information for competitive proposals.
- Effectively communicate our services, value proposition, and differentiators to prospective clients through clear, persuasive proposal content.
- Manage the end-to-end proposal process, including planning, drafting, reviewing, and finalizing before submission.
- Incorporate feedback to refine and optimize the proposal process continually.
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in proposal writing or management
- Strong experience in the PBM space required. Weight management experience a plus.
- Demonstrated success in producing winning proposals in a startup environment, ideally as a contractor.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Experience using cloud-based software to manage proposals (Salesforce and Responsive)
- Strong project management abilities, capable of prioritizing and handling multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
Contractor Requirements
- Must be available minimum 20 hours per week, up to 40 hours per week
- Must be able to work independently and maintain consistent communication with the team.
- Available to commit to the duration of the contract with the possibility of extension based on project needs and performance.
- Flexible availability to meet project deadlines and participate in team meetings as needed.
As a remote, contract position, the pay for this role is:
- $43.00-$48.00
Please note: this opportunity is a contracted, non-salaried position and does not incorporate the total rewards package outlined below.

Individual compensation packages are based on a few different factors unique to each candidate, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate's skills, experience, market demands, and internal equity.
Salary is just one component of Transcarent's total package. All regular employees are also eligible for the corporate bonus program or a sales incentive (target included in OTE) as well as stock options.

Location
You must be authorized to work in the United States. Depending on the position we may have a preference to a specific location, but are generally open to remote work anywhere in the US.
