Job Summary
Assists Proposal Director in the management of the entire process of the development and submission of complex, large-scale Medicaid proposals from RFP release to proposal delivery and through any additional protest periods. Manages the on-time submission of smaller scale RFP and RFI proposals for government-sponsored managed care programs. Provides content development, compilation, editing, and ensures 100% compliance with proposal requirements.
Willingness to work extended hours and assist team members in meeting deadlines as necessary. Must have excellent proofreading and multitasking skills, acute attention to detail, and the ability to handle demanding, deadline-driven situations. Must be very dependable and possess exceptional customer service skills. Reports to and coordinates with Director, as required, serving as a proxy in his/her absence, as necessary.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Analyzes RFPs and applies appropriate proposal process and procedures
- Provides overall guidance to staff members assigned to specific proposal projects
- Prepares and manages overall proposal development for smaller RFPs and RFIs
- Defines style conventions based on proposal team standards and the RFP
- Establishes and maintains all documentation, including proposal schedule, compliant outline, and compliance matrix (as necessary)
- Approves template, cover, spine, tab, and label content (text and artwork)
- Gathers, and coordinates discussion and delivery of RFP questions
- Plans and leads kick-offs, status meetings, and all color reviews
- Ensures proposal compliance with RFP requirements
- Ensures completion of all required forms by appropriate personnel
- Writes and edits proposal sections as needed
- Coordinates with—and supports—graphics and production efforts
- Signs off on all final sections
- Reviews final document prior to book check and conducts book check
- Ensures on time production and communicates delivery plan
- May manage multiple proposals in the same timeframe
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Education
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
Required Experience
2-3 years of proposal management or applicable experience
Preferred Education
Additional course work and training in communications and management/administration
Preferred Experience
Proposal management/production experience in healthcare and Medicaid

Pay Range: $65,791.66 - $142,548.59 / ANNUAL
