Job description

This position is represented by SEIU Local 2007 and the collective bargaining agreement between the university and SEIU Local 2007 governs the terms and conditions of employment.
The Property Control Coordinator provides material and logistical support for I&M and other groups within UIT. Manages work orders and service tickets via Stanford's Oracle Financial system, Stanford Service Now and the ITS Mobile Tech website. This includes the procurement and distribution of telephones sets, support equipment, voice, and data services on campus. Purchase Order expediting and tracking, order placement, receiving with packing slip processing, delivery and vendor file updates. The Property Control Coordinator reports to the I&M Manager of UIT/IT Infrastructure.
Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Purchase of telephones, tools, and various other supplies using blanket order releases, rapid purchase orders, standard requisitions, and department purchasing card. Facilitate the repair of defective tools and misc. equipment. Process necessary paperwork for all shipping activities. Works with the Stanford Surplus team and other vendors for pickup of e-recycle of defective equipment. Complete packing list processing and forward to Admin for vendor payment. Review cost savings for all the vendors.
  • Utilizes SIPDB2 and ITI Project Inventory Tracker for everyday inventory check out on selected equipment. Track and reconcile A-Stock and B-Stock telephones issued vs. sets billed to clients and trouble ticket records. Verifies quantities and condition of all equipment received from vendors. Inputs UPS battery data information in ChemTracker for new entry and update existing records.
  • Receives shipments by inspecting packages for visible damage and ensure accurate package counts. Perform daily workorder preparation of requested equipment for workorders and service tickets. Equipment which includes phones, residential gateway devices, UPS, voice gateway, and many other commodities within the inventory.
  • Coordinate and maintain equipment in the I&M storage containers and inside stock rooms. Issue and track tools distributed to technicians and monitor expenditures on tools purchased.
  • Manage stock of all residential gateway equipment. Program residential gateway devices in Adtran device manager and create new, update and delete NetDB records. Clean and test equipment after returned by clients for reuse.
  • Manages Puichon Traka cabinet with Traka web and Lenel web. Works closely with UIT Card Services Technical team when adding and removing users through a dedicated Traka spreadsheet. Audits all new incoming and removal of keys/access cards with existing and new users. '
  • Manages Puichon service vehicle fleet. Coordinates with Stanford Fleet Garage personnel for annual preventive maintenance scheduling, reporting of any service vehicle issues and assistance with the purchase, inspection of new/used service vehicles and registration services.

Minimum Education and Experience
Associate's degree and five years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Demonstrated communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Demonstrated computer literacy skills.
  • Effective interpersonal and customer service skills.

Certificates and Licenses Required
  • Must possess and maintain a valid California Non-commercial Class driver's license.

Physical Requirements
  • Frequently stand/walk, seated, performs desk-based computer tasks.
  • Occasionally climb (ladders, scaffolds, or other), twist/bend/stoop/squat, reach/work above shoulders, grasp lightly/fine manipulation, use a telephone, writing by hand, kneel/crawl, grasp forcefully, sort/file paperwork or parts, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 70 pounds.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a California Non-commercial Class C Driver's license.

The expected pay range for this position is $37.83 (Step 11) to $45.89 (Step 20) per hour. Placement in the pay range is subject to the applicable collective bargaining agreement. Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for a position.
