Job Description and Responsibilities

The underwriter will be involved in underwriting commercial Property & Casualty lines (Homeowner/Dwelling Fire)

Available Position(s)

Position: P&C Underwriter (Personal Line) - Entry Level

Role and Responsibility

Maintain a profitable book of business including;

• Review, analyze risks and determine coverages availability (limits, terms, premiums etc.).
• Analyze submissions from agents or existing book of business and collaborate with management for strategic solutions.
• Participates in visiting agents, brokers and producers and learns to retain existing accounts, build and maintain business relationships and develop new opportunities in support of divisional objectives
• Learns to apply underwriting rules and guidelines, rating manual rules and insurance laws and regulations.
• Learns to Interpret, explain and market products and services.
• Learns to price business in accordance with company guidelines.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Preferred to had an experience in Insurance industry (1 year and more)
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong analytical and judgment skills
• Strong attention to detail, time management skills
• Capability to build and maintain positive relationships through teamwork
• Proficient to knowledge of Microsoft Office
•  Bilingual in English and Korean is preferred but not required

Compensation:

• Benefit packages that includes health, dental, vision and life insurance
• 401K (after 1 year)
• Paid and sick leave, etc
• Compensation : $50,000~$80,000/Yr

Other qualification:

Must be authorized to work in the United States

Limited business travel may be required
