Property Accountant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Property Accountant to join our team. As a Property Accountant, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, analyzing financial data, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of financial management principles.

Duties:

- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements

- Conduct monthly and annual financial close processes

- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts

- Monitor and analyze property budgets and expenses

- Assist with the preparation of annual operating budgets

- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies

- Collaborate with property managers to address financial inquiries and provide guidance on financial matters

- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions

- Perform account reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies

- Assist with payroll processing

Skills:

- Strong knowledge of financial report interpretation and analysis

- Proficiency in financial management principles

- Solid understanding of debits, credits, and general accounting practices

- Experience in balance sheet reconciliation

- Proficiency in accounting software such as Quicken or similar programs

- Knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes

- Ability to perform accurate account reconciliations

- Familiarity with payroll processing

-Jenark or modified accural experience a plus!

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $86,282.00 per year
