Job Scope
The Project Manager plans, directs, and coordinates designated project(s) activities to ensure that goals or objectives are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters and by performing the following responsibilities personally or through subordinates. The primary function of the project manager is to oversee production, audit, and control costs on all assigned projects.
- Continually enhance customer relationships during the implementation of the project.
- Develop project staffing plans to include labor, subcontractors, project managers, and project engineers.
- Act as liaison between local facility staff and our regional team members.
- Monitor, control, and report on the financial performance of projects.
- Secure subcontractor relationships.
- Manage subcontractors and FSG project execution team.
- Audit and design quality assurance and control procedures to mitigate project risks.
- Manage, motivate, and continuously improve assigned staff.
- Oversee participation in all aspects of job site safety and adherence to OSHA standards.
- Estimate projects while ensuring profitability and adequate standards.
- Work with sales and other internal groups to determine the proper bid strategy.
- Files and maintains all quotation-related documents in appropriate software.
- Process project submittal requests within 24 hours of request.
- Review post-bid approvals on all assigned projects.
- Possess current knowledge of market conditions and innovations that can improve productivity.
- Consult with clients, vendors, foremen, and personnel in other departments to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
- Estimate changes for addendums on projects.
- Provide proper project turnovers to management.
- Accubid software experience is a plus.
Qualifications
Requirements
- High School minimum; Degree in related field preferred; Experience overall - two years related experience and training; or equivalent combination.
- Must be able to pass a background screen.
- Experience working in ACCUBID preferred.
- Must work at an intermediate level of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Proficient in take-off estimator planning.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask while staying organized.
- Self-Motivated.
- Positive customer service skills.
