Introduction
We are seeking a Project Manager to join our GBP Proposals & Project Order Management team. You will be responsible for managing the efficient execution of ETO projects. The position will prioritize operational efficiency through PCM project execution for GBP products Grinding, Bulk, Pyro, and Ferrous, and help lay the foundation for improvement in long-term profitability of the business. In this position, you will report to Manager Projects.
This position is mainly located in York, PA but we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options.
What you’ll do
- Responsible for directly managing projects within the GBP Project management team, ensuring deliveries are properly resourced, meeting customer expectations, fulfilling contract obligations, and achieving targets for safety, quality, schedule and budget.
- Manage a portfolio of projects in accordance with Project Management practices are in accordance with Metso processes, policies, and guidelines, utilizing solid tools and practices.
- Responsible for adhering to robust scope change management practices in delivering projects.
- Responsible for managing lessons learned, identifying continuous improvement opportunities and providing feedback to relevant stakeholders.
- Supporting warranty process and resolution as applicable.
- Work with MA Project coordinators, FSE and other stakeholders to ensure customer needs are satisfied and that any labor services are supported with equipment deliveries.
- Takes initiatives to drive indirect savings, improve overall project performance and KPIs
- Ensure Metso QHSE standards are followed.
Who you are
- Suitable academic background e.g. Master’s or bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
- Project Management certifications (PMP, CAPM, etc.,) are preferable but not mandatory.
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in project/portfolio management mainly in managing equipment delivery projects.
- SAP Working experience is mandatory.
- Project management skills and/or background in engineering, construction, planning, quality assurance/control, commissioning, and safety activities.
- Great influencing skills, proactive, independent approach capability, decision-making ability and drive for results with
- Customer-oriented mindset.
- Understanding of relevant mining & mineral processing technologies
