Job Description
Responsibilities:
Project Planning:

  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans for GIS software development and data management initiatives in the gas domain.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements, objectives, and success criteria.
  • Identify and address specific challenges associated with GIS applications in the gas industry.

Team Leadership:
  • Lead multidisciplinary project teams, including GIS developers, data analysts, and domain experts.
  • Foster a collaborative and goal-oriented team culture.
  • Allocate resources effectively and ensure teams have the necessary tools and support for project success.

GIS Software Development:
  • Oversee the development and implementation of complex GIS software solutions for the gas industry.
  • Ensure adherence to GIS standards, best practices, and industry-specific regulations.
  • Collaborate with GIS developers to address technical challenges and optimize software performance.

Data Management:
  • Develop strategies for the acquisition, integration, and management of geospatial data related to gas infrastructure.
  • Implement data quality standards, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with industry regulations.
  • Oversee the design and optimization of spatial databases for efficient data retrieval and analysis.

Regulatory Compliance:
  • Ensure that GIS software and data management practices comply with relevant regulatory requirements in the gas domain.
  • Stay informed about industry standards and changes in regulations that may impact GIS projects.

Client and Stakeholder Communication:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders in the gas industry.
  • Communicate project status, updates, and key milestones effectively.
  • Address client concerns and ensure alignment with project goals.

Timeline and Budget Management:
  • Develop and manage project timelines and budgets, considering the unique challenges of GIS projects in the gas domain.
  • Monitor project expenditures and implement cost-saving measures when necessary.

Risk Management:
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with GIS software development and data management in the gas industry.
  • Develop contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in ESRI / Schneider GIS software development and data management, preferably in the gas industry.
  • Familiarity with gas infrastructure and regulatory requirements.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or GIS Professional (GISP) certification is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and regulated environment.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with ESRI / Schneider GIS software such as ArcGIS in the context of gas infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of gas industry standards and data models.
  • Familiarity with spatial analysis and modeling for gas-related applications.
  • Background in managing projects involving spatial data integration and analysis.
