Project Manager - P&C Insurance
We are looking for a dedicated individual to join our team as a functional PMO Manager. Their chief responsibility will be to coordinate internal resources to support successful execution of all phases of project planning, testing, verification, delivery, and change management for multiple projects simultaneously. This role will interface directly with Claims stakeholders and collaborate with the Product teams to oversee the creation, release, and on-time execution of Claims projects. They will lead and conduct regular internal reviews to ensure that project deliverables and milestones are defined, scheduled, and executed on time. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience working with P&C claims systems and vendors. Further, the ideal candidate is hands-on and can manage end-to-end processes while having an insurance background. This role will report to the Head of Process and Modernization in Claims.
What you will do:
- The PMO Manager would support new business proposals including market research and verification of initial requirements.
- Manage project timelines and identify, escalate and mitigate risks to timelines. Facilitate project team meetings.
- Coordinate and facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans by identifying resources and timelines. Track and classify defects identified in UAT. Confirm defect resolution. May have multiple UAT streams happening simultaneously.
- Develop regular communications and provide Stakeholder and Project Management Office status.
- Track metrics and measures of project success
- Create and maintain RAID log and escalate business related issues.
- Build and manage business go live cut over plans including training and communication plans with other internal Claims teams.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Skills required for this role:
- Excellent communication, presentation, documentation skills. Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization including technical staff, business users and executives.
- Ability to draft new and improve on existing project management policies and processes.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast- moving environment
- Ability to manage priorities across multiple teams/projects/platforms.
- Accurate, analytical and attention to detail
- Experience participating in IT related projects
- Well versed in project management processes supporting project deliverables to facilitate the creation of standard project documents and artifacts.
- Advanced Microsoft Skills including Visio, SharePoint, Excel and PowerPoint
Experience:
- PMP certification or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Project Management
- Experienced with project management tools such as MS Projects, scrum boards, Gantt, Smartsheet, Asana, Confluence and Jira.
- Experience in insurance, healthcare or related regulated industry preferred.
- Experience facilitating complex decision-making among multiple executive stakeholders with different interests and priorities.
- Demonstrated success managing diverse and complex projects executing simultaneously.
- SAFe 6.0 Agilist
- Experience with Guidewire Integrations
- Experience with Acquisitions
The starting pay range for this position is:
$94,900.00 - $126,500.00
