Role Summary:
Universal Electronic Alarms is on the hunt for a sharp Project Manager to lead a $5 million annual project portfolio. In this crucial role, you'll oversee an average of 75 diverse low-voltage electrical projects, from inception to financial success. Your mission: to drive profits higher through strategic planning, meticulous resource management, and proactive problem-solving. We value leaders who excel in fast-paced environments, possess a keen eye for efficiency, and can skillfully manage budgets to exceed expectations. As the linchpin of our operations, you'll ensure smooth execution, maintain high-quality standards, and foster team collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership and Supervision: Direct a core team (superintendent, assistant Project Manager, drafter) and indirectly manage technicians.
- Project Scheduling and Management: Use Microsoft Project for detailed scheduling, Keep projects on track with proactive planning.
- Financial and Resource Management: Excel in budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation. Manage finances to maximize profitability.
- Change Orders and RFIs: Manage contract modifications, change events, change orders, and RFIs, maintaining project integrity.
- Compliance and Documentation: Oversee regulatory compliance, including AHAs, and manage submittals, revisions, and other pertinent project documentation.
- Technology Proficiency: Utilize Procore for project management and Microsoft Office Suite for administrative tasks. Drive process and system creation within Procore.
- Billing and Progress Reports: Manage progress billing, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Time Tracking and Payroll Oversight: Oversee daily reporting and time classification for technicians in Procore, ensuring accuracy for payroll processing. Implement a dual approval process for timecards, addressing discrepancies promptly.
- Direct Reporting and Communication: Report directly to the COO, providing weekly updates on project progress, billing, and overall status. Facilitate regular meetings with company stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment.
Requirements:
- Minimum (4) years of direct project management experience.
- 100% proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
- At least (1) year of experience with Procore.
- Minimum (6) years of experience in the construction industry.
- OSHA 30 certification.
Preferred:
- More than (2) years of experience with Procore (including Procore certifications).
- Degree in a relevant field or PMP certification.
- (6) + years of experience in a project management role.
- NICET, DIR Electrician, and/or Fire/Life Safety Certification
- EM-385 Training (valid within last year)
- Proficiency in Fire Alarm relevant codes and standards.
Salary Range:
- The stated salary range reflects the breadth of experience and qualifications we value in a candidate. Candidates meeting only the minimum requirements will be considered for the starting end of the salary spectrum. Location and Travel Requirements:
- Primary Location: This full-time, salaried position is based at our headquarters in Lancaster. The role requires on-site presence to effectively coordinate projects and collaborate with the team.
- Travel: Candidates must be willing to travel up to 20% of the time to manage projects, attend meetings, or conduct site visits as necessary.
- Remote Work Flexibility: While this position is primarily on-site, we are open to discussing the possibility of some remote work arrangements for the right candidate. Such arrangements would be contingent upon the candidate's qualifications and would require a telework agreement to ensure productivity and alignment with team objectives.
