Project Manager Senior Level
Frazier Industrial Company, the Material Handling industry leader in structural steel storage racking is seeking a Project Manager.
The Role
This position, located in Bakersfield, CA, will coordinate all assigned projects and ensure the company resources are utilized appropriately. The Project Manager will handle projects from $1,000,000 to $10,000,000. The Project Manager will compile project status reports, create and coordinate project schedules, manage weekly project meetings, and identify and resolve technical problems. He/she will identify and analyze the project requirements and the define project scope, with special attention to customer requirements. The job responsibilities will include monitoring manufacturing schedules, engineering schedules, material acquisition, outside purchases and installations. He/she will need to become familiar with all facets of material handling and warehouse concepts, practices, and procedures. The position will report to the Director of Project Management.
Required Skills
Communication skills are mandatory.
The candidate will need to be able to manage up to 6 projects at one time, 30-40 projects per year.
Approximately 30% travel nationally may be required as deemed necessary to maintain project schedule and quality.
The position requires a minimum of 10 years’ experience in large project construction and management; General Construction is preferred, Material Handling experience is a plus.
A bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, or Construction Management is required.
A degree of creativity and latitude is required.
Customer retention skills are of primary importance.
The candidate should possess a sociable demeanor in order to be able to deal with other trades on a project site.
