Total Solutions, Inc. (TSI) is looking for a Project Manager to support the NOAA National Weather Service Headquarters in Silver Spring, Maryland.
Functional Areas:
Project Management
- Assist in preparing briefing and procurement packages for the ASOS program which include, but not limited to, modification kits, replacement materials of obsolete parts, support equipment, and software.
- Establish and maintain program schedules for the ASOS service level extension program, including assisting the ASOS program manager, the FAA program management team, and the DOD program management teams.
- Prepare, coordinate and submit a maintenance plan for the redesign ASOS system developed through the service level extension program.
- Provides ASOS program knowledge to the NWS in the area of acquisition and contract management to provide goods and services to include market research, analysis, and pricing to assist in making acquisition decisions.
- Provides program, budget, technical, and administrative support to the ASOS program to plan, implement, and track the program performance in order to achieve the program goals and objectives.
- Provides program support to the NWS field offices in the NWS and FAA.
- Provides program support using the ASOS and the ASOS sensor emulator and creating detailed test procedures to validate ASOS meteorological performance.
- Assists NWS/OBS personnel maintain their documentation and directives, oversees documentation reviews, and assists in editing maintenance documentation.
- Assists in managing the documentation for the ASOS and other surface observing programs.
- Develops, prepares, and edits for Government approval a standard format for: engineering handbooks, modification and maintenance notes, technical information packages, software notes, and technical manuals.
- Make recommendations to develop and improve the SUAD documentation standards.
- Develops, generates, edits, and updates maintenance documentation, which includes maintenance notes, modification notes, and technical manuals, technical information packages (TIP), technical notes, and other related publications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 8+ years of progressive project management experience in both functional and program roles.
- Demonstrated experience in the operation and maintenance of weather equipment.
- Demonstrated experience in directing, coordinating, and leading a team or group performing different functions, and monitoring and managing programmatic and technical aspects of system maintenance.
