Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a proficient Marine SurveyProject Manager with a robust background in overseeing Marine Survey projects. While primarily office-oriented, this role may entail occasional on-site supervisory tasks, spanning various locations within the United States and internationally. Field assignments encompass both coastal and offshore operations, including vessel activities.
Responsibilities:
Manage Marine Survey projects both in the office and in the field, involving client interaction, operational planning, and supervision of field personnel.
Conduct comprehensive cost analyses, forecasting project expenses accurately.
Develop and execute budgets based on projected costs.
Collaborate closely with our HSEQ Manager to uphold adherence to safety protocols and prioritize the well-being of Marine Survey personnel and colleagues.
Lead cross-departmental teams to ensure timely, precise, and efficient completion of assigned Marine Survey projects.
Provide guidance and technical support to fellow managers and field staff.
Establish and maintain communication with clients, laboratories, vendors, subcontractors, consultants, and service providers throughout all project phases.
Ensure compliance with Marine Survey equipment maintenance protocols during mobilization, fieldwork, and demobilization stages.
Coordinate personnel and schedules for data processing and reporting in collaboration with the data processing manager.
Assist in or draft proposals related to sediment sampling projects.
Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to enhance client engagement.
Qualifications:
Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a geomatics-related discipline (e.g., hydrography, geology, geophysics, or engineering).
Possess 3+ years of pertinent experience in project management and marine field operations, particularly in sediment sampling activities like vibracoring, seafloor-deployed CPT, marine boring, thermal resistivity testing, and onboard sediment analysis.
Experience in Offshore Wind and Oil & Gas infrastructure projects, submarine cable/pipeline routing, civil engineering, or environmental assessment projects is advantageous.
Proficient in hydrographic data acquisition systems and software, including Multibeam Sonars, Singlebeam Sonars, Side Scan Sonars, and GNSS navigation systems. Familiarity with geophysical equipment operation and deployment is beneficial. Software proficiency in QINSy, HYPACK, Edgetech Discover, SonarWiz, Caris, Qimera, and Global Mapper is desirable.
Demonstrated experience in vessel mobilization for geotechnical operations and troubleshooting sediment sampling equipment.
Proven track record of meeting project deadlines and effectively coordinating with team members.
Strong leadership skills, with experience managing both office and field personnel.
Excellent communication and writing skills.
Must be a U.S. citizen or hold a valid working Visa, and be open to domestic and international travel.
