Position: Project Manager

Location: Mt. Arlington, NJ (Hybrid) Will be required to be in the office one day a week

Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday – Friday
As a Project Manager, you will work across teams within the company including Sales, IT, Web and Database development, Marketing, and Legal and Regulatory professionals. You will manage projects for new products and features and new internal business processes and tools. You will manage the schedule, budget, design, documentation, testing, and support handover of capabilities that have been reviewed, approved, and budgeted by Senior Leadership. Projects will range in size and scope from large, transformational changes to short-term proof of concept opportunities in support of a continuous drive to grow our business and maintain our competitive place in the market. This role will report to the Director – Program Management.
What the Project Managerdoes:
- Lead projects of any size and scope as identified by the corporate steering committees.
- Develop a plan, timeline, resource plan, and budget to achieve the desired project objectives with the support of key stakeholders assigned to review the project.
- Lead regular reviews with key stakeholders to manage the project scope including possible changes to resources, budget, and timeline.
- Develop alternate plans and approaches to address unforeseen constraints in the execution of the project, working closely with managers and key stakeholders to navigate these challenges
- Assist and/or complete the proper documentation, testing, and communication of project deliverables.
- Complete the hand-over of project deliverables to operational support and sales for any new services and systems including reviewing SOPs to identify changes and coordinating training.
- Support and/or provide business direction and ownership related to the technologies and processes that are required to support project management.
- Work across a diversity of groups and disciplines ranging from Project Managers, Sales, IT, Web and Database development, Marketing, and Legal and Regulatory professionals to deliver project objectives.
- Coach new Project Managers temporarily assigned from business teams in project management processes and tools.
What experience we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree required in any discipline; preferably in quantitative and analytic coursework
- 2-4 years of post-collegiate job experience
- 2+ years’ experience in a customer facing role
- Pharmaceutical industry experience is a plus
- Desire to solve problems, try new things, innovate, gather facts and understanding and move fast
- Active listening and effective communication skills, verbal and written, to engage colleagues, customers, prospects, and vendors
- Comfort with directly engaging across a wide variety of teams and organizational levels through phone calls, email, in-person meetings
- Excellent prioritization and time management skills - efficiently organize multiple project responsibilities to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical, decision-making skills
- Ability to work in a highly interactive environment with a diverse team of colleagues
- Understanding of software development life cycle, project management and agile methodologies
- High computer literacy and ability to learn new skills, techniques, software, and processes
- Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality regarding sensitive customer, prospect, or vendor information
- Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented collaborative environment
- Comfort working in a variety of project management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall
- Self-motivated, works with little or minimal direction needed
