About the Position: This position will be the Crime Stoppers Director. The second-level Project Management Coordinator is accountable for developing, administering, and monitoring parts or components of agency projects. Employees are responsible for assisting in project planning, monitoring the operation of program activities, and supervising project goals and objectives. Responsibilities may include assisting in scheduling, reporting, controlling, and evaluating functions associated with projects; monitoring and reporting project spending; and coordinating the activities of the project team. At this level, employees analyze administrative problems and recommend needed regulations, policies, and procedures for the proper administration of projects. Responsibilities may include preparing and administering proposals, contracts, grants, and agreements related to specific programs or projects of the agency. Employees maintain liaison with agency divisions, outside organizations, and the general public.This applicant must become familiar with current crime reduction trends driven by both law enforcement and the community. An open line of communication with the local and national stakeholders must be maintained as it pertains to solving and mitigating crime.

Preferred Qualifications: Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and 2-4 years of experience. The agency's preferred qualifications are a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college and 3-6 years of experience. Required to complete the MS State Instructor Certification via the MS Law Enforcement Officer Training Program. Must also have knowledge of MS Title chapter 39; 45-39-5.
