As a Project Manager specializing in Crime Lab and Medical Examiner Software, your primary responsibility is to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of software solutions tailored to the needs of crime laboratories and medical examiner offices. You will play a crucial role in coordinating interdisciplinary teams, managing project timelines, and ensuring the successful implementation of software applications designed to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of forensic investigations. Our ultimate goal is to deliver the “wow” experience that turns new customers into Forensic Advantage evangelists and customers for life!
What your impact will be:
- Drive all aspects of project delivery, including managing the scope of the project and changes to project deliverables, while ensuring customer satisfaction and profitability.
- Provide team leadership; priority setting, decision making, and problem solving.
- Resolve project issues and/or delays to reduce impact on the client and ensure timely implementation.
- Negotiate modifications and/or tradeoffs to project scope or delivery dates with client, based on project deliverables, contingencies and predefined acceptance criteria.
- Explain implications of changes to project scope and/or priorities to client and management to ensure changes are understood and approved.
- Manage project financials.
- Proactively resolve project issues to mitigate delays and reduce the impact on the client and project timelines.
- Provide updates to management team and coworkers on customer/project status, proactively identifying issues and resolving or escalating as appropriate.
- Responsible for working capital, ensuring that milestones and work in progress are approved, invoiced, and paid in a timely manner.
- Assist in overall scheduling and coordination of implementation resources.
- Conduct post implementation reviews to identify opportunities for improvement and to apply learning.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of project management practices within the PS team.
What we are looking for:
- 3+ years of progressive Project management experience.
- Dynamic project leader with experience managing software implementation projects to multiple customers.
- Possess a deep understanding of activities associated with software system implementations.
- Possess strong negotiation, communication (written and verbal), and conflict management skills.
- Experience negotiating resources and deliverables within a matrix organization.
- Possess relevant experience with contract negotiations and customer management.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Project, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint).

What do we offer?
The role of Project Manager can be performed remotely. Depending on project(s), travel could be as high as 50%, though the actual amount will vary by project.
