What You’ll Do:
The duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed in this position. They are not intended to prescribe or restrict the assignments that management may make.
- Identify, plan, direct, and coordinate each of the critical project life cycle phases.
- Participate and/or lead meetings with clients virtually and in person.
- Produce drawing sets with minimal errors, specifically performance-based drawings and plan of service drawings for FACG.
- Produce reports with minimal errors, specifically reports for the Basis of Design, Cost Analysis, Bid Comparison, Site Survey, and Certifications (inspection, testing, repairs, maintenance, installation).
- Produce specifications, calculations, and information packages with minimal errors as needed for BMES and FACG.
- Conduct on-site quality assurance observations, surveys, and inspections for conformance to contract documents, industry standards, manufacturer requirements, and/or best practices.
- Proactively keep clients and stakeholders informed of project status and changes.
- Explore and capitalize on opportunities to enhance service with or upsell existing clients/projects.
- Manage project financials with the assistance of Project Coordinators and Project Analysts, including booking new projects, updating projections, submitting invoice requests, and preparing closeout documentation.
- Participate and/or lead extracurricular team projects.
- Research, interpret, and communicate industry codes, standards, and best practices.
- Occasional travel within the United States (1 to 2 times per month) and possible infrequent travel outside the United States (approximately 1 to 2 times per year or less)
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor of Science in Construction, Architecture, or Engineering (10+ years of experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry in lieu of a degree).
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in the architecture, engineering, and/or construction industry.
- Ability to communicate complex technical information and build rapport with clients, contractors, sub-contractors, employees, and other industry stakeholders in written, verbal, and presentation formats.
- Excellent skills in technical writing and communication.
- Flexible, responsive, and confident multi-tasker able to work independently, handle multiple deadlines, and accommodate shifting priorities.
- Ability to lead and contribute to the team in a collaborative, interactive environment.
- Commitment to quality, organization, meticulous attention to detail, and consistency in work product.
- Consistently demonstrates enthusiasm and a positive attitude toward the organization, customers, and work in general.
- Ability to recognize problems and offer workable solutions.
- Possession of a designated level of technical or engineering skill and the ability to keep up with current developments and trends in areas of expertise.
- Ability to follow through with commitments, accept accountability, handle change, set personal standards, stay focused under pressure, and meet attendance/punctuality requirements.
