SUMMARY
This role will be pivotal in the transformation of research administration in Diagnostic Imaging. The primary purpose is to provide operational and project management support to the finance, research and research education activities of the division. The Project Manager will work closely with the DI leadership to provide project management for process improvement for administrative, operational and financial activities of the Division of Diagnostic Imaging. The individual will be responsible for managing processes including analysis and reporting. This position requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in research administration, project management and change management.

KEY FUNCTIONS

  • Generate, interpret and communicate complex financial and operational information about the division or departments within the division in the research and education mission areas.
  • Assist with executing plans, developing new programs and providing data for decision support.
  • Support the implementation of the Advance Scholar Program and other programs as needed
  • Support the Director of DI Finance and Research Administration with collecting and tracking research administration staff productivity data. Partner with stakeholders to develop hiring triggers for staff, support the Research Functional Committee, research capital requests, etc.
  • Serve as the liaison and analytic support for major research or educational projects, such as the neuroscience project, the division webpage
  • Manage all division research space.
  • Ensure compliance with all research/education specific trainings
  • Oversee administrative coordination support for major division meetings and priorities, e.g. Oden institute, Research retreat, DI RDD series
  • Manage relationships with stakeholders in the research mission area, e.g. the Alliances and Theranostics program
  • Collaborate with the Deputy Division Head of Research for the division about the strategic development and management of research in DI.

Other duties as assigned
Required education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or related field.
Preferred education: Master's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or related field.
Required experience: Five years experience in project management with two years in healthcare operations. May substitute required experience with additional years of education on a one to one year basis. Successful completion of the LEADing Self Accelerate program may substitute for one year of required supervisory or management experience.
Preferred Experience: Experience in grant planning, submission, and management, experience managing large programmatic/research portfolios, experience in Diagnostic Imaging research.
Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources.
