JOB SUMMARY
The Project Manager, Creative Studio is a member of the Creative Studio, and is primarily responsible for managing and executing MLB marketing projects, including in-house advertising and campaigns. This responsibility will include end-to-end project management from project scoping, managing the project calendar, monitoring timelines and deliverables, communicating status updates, and delivering final project and summary.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
  • 4 year degree from an accredited university in marketing, advertising, communications, business, or related field and 4+ years experience in marketing or related functional area; OR equivalent relevant experience
  • Project management and/or consulting expertise preferred
  • Proficiency in Excel + PowerPoint (Google Docs/Sheets) and Asana (or similar project management tools)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Conducting Core Work Activities
  • Provides end-to-end project management for MLB marketing projects (advertising partnerships, creative support on Brand initiatives, business initiative advertising campaigns, and various internal creative needs).
  • Works with Creative Studio leadership to understand the project vision and goals.
  • Establishes and manages project scope; develops specific goals and project plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work in support of business priorities.
  • Assigns and monitors project owners and deliverables and holds the team accountable to the established budgets and timelines.
  • Establishes meeting structure; manages project kickoff and status update meetings.
  • Collaborates with team members, internal/external partners, and stakeholders to execute against project objectives.
  • Streamlines and manages communication to internal project team members, as well as project stakeholders and clients.
  • Monitors project progress, identifies and escalates project roadblocks, proposes solutions to address project issues/delays, and solicits feedback; escalates to senior leaders, as needed
  • Delivers project updates and final project summaries to clients.

Per the NYC pay transparency law, the hiring range for this position is $75,000 to $100,000.
As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, skills and any other factors Major League Baseball (MLB) considers relevant to the hiring decision. In addition to your salary, MLB believes in providing a competitive compensation and benefits package for its employees. MLB offers employees a full range of best in class benefits with no employee contributions towards medical, dental, and vision coverage premiums, as well as incentive and recognition programs, life insurance and automatic employer 401k contributions.
