The Center for Transformational Play (CTP) at the Human-Computer Interaction Institute within the School of Computer Science is searching for a Project Manager to play a pivotal role in overseeing projects from inception to completion. This involves defining project scopes, initiating project activities, and diligently tracking all deliverables. They maintain essential relationships with key stakeholders and ensure that project timelines are adhered to. Furthermore, the Project Manager offers valuable guidance to the CTP's Lead Game Designer by sharing best practices, addressing project-specific knowledge gaps, managing systems, and maintaining thorough documentation. They also supervise student producer teams, offering comprehensive training and logistical support. Additionally, the Project Manager takes charge of playtesting recruitment and coordination and may assume responsibility for conducting playtests. A strong background in game-specific project management is essential, with a particular emphasis on expertise in running live action games. In exceptional cases, the candidate may even assume a design lead role for select projects.
Your core responsibilities will include:
- Manage CTP projects from start to finish, including scoping based on available resources, tracking deliverables, maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Supervise student-led teams, and provide training and support for student producers.
- Lead playtesting program, including recruitment and coordination.
- Advise Lead Game Designer about best practices, systems of management, and documentation.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 3-5 years of experience in project management and/or program coordination. Must have at least some game-related experience.
- A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.
