Project Manager 1

Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for a Project Engineer 1 in Sanford, NC. The work will be done onsite. This is a long term contract. It can lead to permanent employment with our customer. Compensation is $75,000/yr + benefits (vision, dental, health insurance, 401K, and holiday pay). Cullerton Group will provide sponsorship.

Job Title: Project Engineer

Summary:
The Project Engineer is responsible for estimating quantities, costs of materials, equipment, or labor, and determining project feasibility. This role demands a thorough knowledge of engineering technology, building and construction, public safety, and security. The ideal candidate should exhibit solid decision-making skills, critical thinking, and the ability to design and oversee the construction of various infrastructures.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design the construction of infrastructure projects including roads, buildings, airports, tunnels, dams, bridges, water supply, and sewage systems.
• Evaluate the cost-effectiveness, timing, reliability, and safety of design models to determine project feasibility.
• Analyze the project's impact on government regulations and potential environmental hazards.
• Develop software applications for testing and calibration and troubleshoot SW/HW systems.
• Lead calibrations for system equipment and assist with electrical wiring and schematics.
• Create and manage configuration management scripts to align software deliveries with schedules.
• Document software processes and develop procedures to standardize work.

Skills:

• Exceptional creativity, communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in making sketches, engineering drawings, and computations.
• Ability to prepare and present public reports, maps, or drawings.
• Team-oriented, detail-focused, and capable of preparing documents for planning projects.
• Experience with engineering-related computer applications.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Electrical Engineering preferred.
• 0-2 years of experience in a relevant field.

Technical Skills:

• Required: Proficiency in C, C++, Python, and relational databases. Familiarity with electronic concepts and wiring.
• Desired: Experience with LabView, Arduino, web development, automotive parts/sensors, and software configuration or data management.

Soft Skills:

• Clear communication skills, attention to detail, high emotional intelligence, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• A proactive approach to learning, teamwork, and handling diverse assignments.

Work Environment:

• The role is on-site, providing direct access to necessary equipment and software for configuration and support.
• Regular interaction with the team, including daily updates and participation in engineering meetings to gather data and report status.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Support software configuration activities for production builds and document software processes using specific applications.
• Develop and maintain procedures capturing standard work, identify and maintain configuration data, and address day-to-day issues in collaboration with team members.
