Job Purpose
The Project Manager will be responsible for execution of multiple projects with all applicable assigned project resources and ensuring a high level of customer communication and satisfaction. Lead and manage teams through all phases of project planning and execution, including scheduling, budget management, technical support, risk management, change management activities. Performs technical review of system design and documentation. The Project Manager must have the ability to manage the multiple projects utilizing project performance reporting tools, leading project review and project closeout meetings, status updates, change order generation and financial reporting. Phases include managing projects in pre-sales phase through customer acceptance.
Essential Functions
- Central point of contact for the customer of each project with respect to technical, commercial items/activities and project schedule
- Collaborate with department managers, engineers, and field technicians to ensure that project performance stays on plan.
- Manage new product startup projects on site and ensure projects are executed in timeline established.
- Creation of project documentation including Microsoft Project schedules, Engineering Change Orders, Operation & Maintenance Manuals, Project Report Cards, etc.
- Demonstrated meeting facilitation and project management skills.
- Capable of creating effect relationships with customers, understanding customer needs, and providing exceptional customer service
- Proven ability to apply innovative solutions to ensure project management success
- Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, technical engineering drawings, welding, custom fabrication, and/or piping.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and Microsoft Project
- Effective communication, in writing and verbally, both inside and outside the company
- Highly analytical mind, with exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Independent, self-motivated, with effective time-management skills to understand priorities and achieve goals
- Analyzing problems or deficiencies, understanding of risk management and developing solutions to resolve them.
- Requires a BS/BA degree in Project Management, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience of project management of equipment manufacturing for 2 years+
- 5+ years in engineering/manufacturing preferred
- Knowledge of water and wastewater applicationspreferred
- PMP Certificationpreferred
