Project Manager
SUMMARY:
The Concourse Group is looking for an experienced Project Manager with the ability to work in a small team environment to solve problems for various client projects. This candidate will have three to four years of experience working in communications in the areas of development and application. This position requires strong skills in communications plan development and deployment. Candidates will have a strong demonstration of both written and oral communication. This is a client interaction role.
This position is primarily remote, though candidates must live locally in the National Capital Region, as one to two days per week of in-office is required in Annapolis Maryland. This position may also require infrequent visits to client locations throughout the National Capital Region.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to assemble, communicate, and present information clearly both orally in platforms such as MS Teams and in written formats such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, and Adobe suite tools.
- Proficiency in utilizing a project management approach to support the design, development, and deployment of both internal and external client communication plans.
- Requires the ability to understand customer problems, quickly learn new tools and technologies, and work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to multi-task and keep communication deliverables in varied stages of a project organized.
- Possess a strong combination of analytical skills, critical thinking, intellectual curiosity, and reporting acumen.
- Ability to interpret client requests then enthusiastically and creatively construct and produce deliverables to exceed their expectations.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills for maintaining client and consultant relationships
- Ability to solve problems using a detailed and well-ordered approach.
- Ability to work effectively with a cross-functional team to produce timely work products.
- Can work without direct supervision and independently with broad guidelines.
- Requires an eye for detail to ensure quality deliverables. Must be attentive to detail, maintain standards and actively check for errors before conveying final work product.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This is a client-facing position: Direct interactions with clients both orally and in writing are required.
- The development and preparation of communication plans, white papers, briefings, and other written deliverables.
- Project management of communications plans and deliverables including meeting minutes, meeting scheduling, action tracking, milestone setting, and other project management actions.
- Managing task schedules including development and implementation of the schedule and communicating with both clients and a team to ensure that all deadlines are met.
- Managing small team execution in support of the project and client within a larger team environment.
- Performing quality control on all deliverables before turnover to the client; making sure all deliverables are error-free, proper formatting is used and all deliverables are executed to the highest of client requirements and expectations.
- Supporting the clients by interpreting their vision, creating a process to execute their vision, and coordinating with a team to make sure that scope is defined, and client expectations are elevated.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in communications or a business-related major
- Federal or Federal Contracting experience highly preferred
- PMP or other Project Management Certification preferred
- Small team management/leadership
- Experience with full life-cycle communications plan projects
- Able to work closely in a small team
- Ability to efficiently multitask and deliver on client requests in a timely fashion
- Self-directed with the ability to thrive in an unstructured environment, comfortable with ambiguity
- Detail-oriented, yet able to move forward efficiently in the face of unanswered questions
- Demonstrated writing skills. A writing sample is required.

- Must be able to pass and obtain a public trust background
- Must live locally to the National Capital Region
- An Interest in national preparedness and resilience a plus
