Project Manager
S&B Sons, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager to join our team in Bakersfield, CA.
Position Summary:
The Project Manager's responsibilities include coordinating construction activities with site supervisors and senior Project Managers, supervising company construction staff and project coordinators, scheduling project timelines and coordinating with subcontractors, and communicating with various stakeholders including owners, architects, engineers, vendors, inspectors and governmental agencies. They will also be overseeing construction activities, maintaining project budgets, tracking construction progress, attending project meetings, maintaining project quality control, maintaining a safe job site, and maintaining as-built drawings. They will also assist with estimating, purchasing, submittals, RFIs, change orders and project closeout. This position will also offer opportunities for growth in a rapidly growing and highly successful construction company.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Coordinate construction activities.
- Communication, both in house and with stakeholders.
- Ensure projects are properly scheduled and completed in a timely manner.
- Ensure projects adhere to budgets.
- Coordinate work with Subcontractors.
- Maintain a safe workplace.
- Schedule inspections and Lab Testing.
- Estimating material quantities and ordering materials.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- 5 Years minimum experience in a similar role within the architecture, engineering and construction industry showing continued career growth.
- Outstanding understanding of Construction Documents including the ability to read and interpret plans, specifications and contracts.
- Excellent understanding of construction technology and the methods and materials of commercial construction.
- Strong background in site and civil construction, public works project experience preferred.
- Excellent computer skills
- CAD drafting experience with AutoCAD strongly preferred.

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
