Project Geologist - Fort Collins, CO
Trihydro, one of the top environmental and engineering consulting firms in the country, has an opening for a staff geologist. The ideal candidate will join our Closed Facilities Business Unit and assist in providing clients across many industries with effective, responsive, and safe solutions. We pride ourselves on maintaining a company culture of safety, honesty, hard work, and trust as we tackle some of the most complex environmental challenges.

Now more than ever, the world needs smart, cutting-edge solutions to address the engineering and environmental challenges of tomorrow. That's where you come in. As a member of our team, you will support our diverse range of clients, from Fortune 100 companies and the federal government to local communities nationwide, in continuously improving human health and the environment.
In your role, you will provide field support for soil and groundwater investigations and remediation implementation. Typical field tasks include installing soil borings and groundwater monitoring wells; soil, sediment, groundwater, surface water, and stormwater sample collection; remediation system operations and maintenance (O&M) and troubleshooting; and field and construction oversight and management. The position is also responsible for administering and stewarding health and safety programs at sites and communicating with project management and clients concerning site activity.
The role also provides office support involving technical report preparation, project management assistance, data management and interpretation, and environmental permits and plans preparation (an interest in and a willingness to learn state and federal environmental regulations is a must).
The preferred candidate will be based in our Fort Collins, CO office.
Required Qualifications

  • Solid technical writing and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients and project team members
  • Positive employment history with a commitment to safe work practices

  • Dependable, with the ability to work independently and within team environments
  • Mechanically inclined and/or interested in learning remediation system O&M and troubleshooting
  • Ability to travel to client sites and other Trihydro offices
  • Clean driving record
