Job Title: Project-Fabrication Manager
Location: Houston, TX near IAH (not a remote position) and Baytown, TX. The company will not relocate candidate.

Overview: As a Project-Fabrication Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of a key project within our organization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that the project is delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record of successfully managing projects from initiation to closure.
Responsibilities:
- Project Planning:
- Develop detailed project and fabrication plans outlining project objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Work with stakeholders to define project scope and requirements.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
o Run $40-50 million size project
o Oversee third-party fabrication shop activities
o Create and manage project budget
o Create and manage project schedule
o Interface with management and client
- Project Execution:
- Lead project teams, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project delivery.
- Monitor project progress, track key milestones, and address any issues or deviations from the plan.
- Coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure alignment and timely decision-making.
- Manage project budgets and resource allocations.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Communicate effectively with project sponsors, stakeholders, and team members to provide regular updates on project status, risks, and issues.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather feedback and incorporate changes as needed.
- Resolve conflicts and facilitate consensus among team members and stakeholders.
- Quality Assurance:
- Implement quality assurance processes to ensure that project deliverables meet established standards and requirements.
- Conduct regular reviews and evaluations to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Change Management:
- Anticipate and manage changes to project scope, schedule, and budget effectively.
- Assess the impact of changes and communicate implications to relevant stakeholders.
- Implement change management processes to minimize disruptions and ensure project success.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, status reports, meeting minutes, and other relevant records.
- Prepare and present regular project reports to stakeholders, highlighting progress, achievements, and areas of concern.
- Capture lessons learned and best practices to inform future projects.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years experience
- Proven experience as a project manager, fabrication manager, managing complex projects from initiation to closure.
- Strong understanding of project and fabrication management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams and managing diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and proficiently read, write and speak English.
