Function:
Engineering and Engineering Services Job Summary:You will report directly to the Engineering Manager and belong to a team of Project, Chemical, Mechanical, Reliability, and Electrical Engineers along with Quality Technicians, a Drafter and Documentation working onsite. You will lead the coordination, construction, and cost control of projects from conception to startup. Your contributions will support short-term needs while balancing long-term priorities and builds ownership while creating enthusiasm and support for the vision, goals and required business changes. This is a safety sensitive position. Job Description:You Will:
- Support and participate in all Environment, Health and Safety initiatives and activities.
- Lead multidiscipline project teams to design, organize, schedule, and implement project plans.
- Supervise Engineering and Construction contractors to ensure that all plant replacements, modifications, and additions are performed in strict conformity with design specifications and applicable code requirements.
- Help define project scopes in collaboration with management and other departments.
- Develop a project schedule that allocates the resources to the activities.
- Oversee the progress of the project and make adjustments to ensure successful completion promptly.
- Manage all project funds according to established accounting policies*
- Forecast project cash flows on a monthly basis. *
- Lead the Management of Change (MOC) process. *
- Support turnaround planning.
You Have:
- Engineering degree (Mechanical or Chemical).
- 5 or more years of experience in project execution in a chemical plant or refinery.
- Experience in project management and implementation.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is an asset.
