Job Description, Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
· May be assigned to help project managers that lead, manage and complete projects from start to finish.
· Maintains a high standard of quality control and document coordination
· Coordinates with suppliers, subcontractors, and inspectors to ensure project schedules are being driven to completion.
· Assists with project estimating
· Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor as needed or require per project specifications.
· To aid the company's management team on administrative matters when required.
· To assist with all safety and quality control work for ongoing projects
· Attend regular and special progress meetings for the project or projects assigned.
· To monitor and participate in the review and approval process of all field related change orders, RFI's and construction drawings.
· To properly complete and submit the Daily Production Reports to the client and home office on a regular base to conform with project requirements.
· To review and comply with all company Policies, QAQC and Safety Plans.
· Composes and prepares submittals for submission to owners / owner’s representatives
· Processes, coordinates and maintains utility locates
· Maintains submittal log
· Maintains submittal folder(s)
· Maintains material logs (stone, equipment, concrete, testing, survey, etc..)
· Composes daily reports and distribute to appropriate personnel
· Composes RFIs and Maintains RFI Folder
· Updates project as-builts
· Retrieves, checks conformance and prepares and submit material certifications
· Prepares and distributes meeting minutes when necessary
· Ensures that materials, drawings, manpower, specifications, tools, consumables, and equipment are available when needed with General Superintendent
· Composes three week look ahead schedule(s) once weekly or as needed
· Prepare and maintains project schedules
· Reads and interprets construction plans, standard specifications and project special provisions and updates with RFI, Construction Revisions, Field Participation, etc…
· Retains a daily log of all on-site personnel, including subcontractors and submit daily reports accordingly
Candidates should have a Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Engineering and 2+ years working as a Assistant Project Manager, Project Engineer or Field Engineer with a mid to large size commercial or government at risk General Contractor that operates in the Chicago area.
